The brief provided by Comica was to write a transmedia production inspired by Comica and the British Library’s exhibition on Breakdowns.
The students were told Breakdowns meant experimentation with form as well as some pieces being about breakdowns as well in terms of the theme of the pieces in the Comica exhibition.
Under the curation of The Club, students on MA Dramatic Writing developed a five day digital storytelling experiment, which began with a live day at the British Library or online registration, followed by four days of online digital experiments, concluding with a live promenade performance at Central Saint Martins.
Art Spiegelman’s experimental comic Breakdowns was chosen as the link between the pieces as Lucy, a British Library researcher, takes you on a tour of the digital storytelling experiments over the five day period.
